How To Support Us

The Taylor Bennett Foundation’s work is only possible because of the support of numerous companies and individuals working in the PR, communication and media sectors, and beyond.

We are delighted to have the support of so many committed partner organisations and individuals who invest their time, effort and money in helping us nurture the next generation of talented communicators from ethnic minority backgrounds.

There are a number of ways you can support the Foundation…

Each of our training programmes has a principal partner which provides both financial support and hosts the trainees for approximately one day each week.

Principal partners play a vital role in enabling the work of the Foundation and in ensuring we are able to fulfil our key objective of providing trainees with an allowance to cover living and travel costs while they take part.

Current and past programme partners include: Brunswick, Finsbury, MHP, Red Consultancy, Talk PR, Edelman and FTI Consulting.

In addition to our principal programme partners, a number of communication companies have financially supported specific projects that support and promote the Foundation’s work.

These projects normally involve a financial commitment which might fund: events that promote the Foundation’s work and initiate further fund-raising;  promotional literature that promote’s the Foundation’s programmes and alumni; research into the Foundation’s impact; equipment that helps the Foundation’s programme such as IT; specific training elements for participants such as writing skills tuition.

Project partners may also provide in-kind rather than financial support, in particular the provision of office or meeting room spaces for the Foundation’s programmes and events.

Our mentoring programme has allowed us to expand the reach of the Foundation’s work, supporting a greater number of talented graduates as they pursue a career in communications and PR.

Companies participating in this programme pay a sponsorship fee for each mentee, to cover administration and management. They then select a mentor from their team typically a junior or mid-level member of staff for whom this will be a personal professional development opportunity – and we match them with a relevant mentee.

Our Summer Stars work placement programme, which launched in summer 2018, offers paid work placements for up to 50 BAME students and graduates. Participants will attend an intensive one-week lecture programme at the London College Of Communication before joining a leading PR agency or in-house communications team for a four week placement.

We are looking for agencies interested in supporting this programme by offering a placement. Participating companies will make a donation to the Foundation to help cover the costs of the programme, and commit to pay the student or graduate on the placement at least minimum wage for five weeks. The Foundation will then match an appropriate student or graduate to the company for the placement. For more information click here or contact Catriona Dalglish at

PR companies and teams can also buy places for their employees at the lectures taking place at London College Of Communication. For more information click here.

In addition to the corporate sponsorship opportunities, the Foundation is also incredibly grateful to the individuals within the PR profession who support our work.

Financial contributions, whatever the size, are gratefully received and play a vital role. Individuals can make one-off or regular donations online via JustGiving.

The final invaluable way PR companies and practitioners can support the Foundation is by donating their time in hosting trips for TBF trainees.
