As a team

The successful candidate for the UK Leadership Communications role will be responsible for driving communications to the UK Leadership group, working directly with our UK and Ireland Market Unit (MU) lead . 

The successful candidate will report to the UK Employer Brand lead and will be supported by a junior team member. The UK Employer Brand team is responsible for raising awareness of the Accenture brand, core services and employer values and skills requirements to candidates and employees. Covering a wide range of marketing and communications strategies to engage, attract and retain these audiences including Targeted Media, Digital Content Marketing, Research and In-house deployment, the newly combined team provides an integrated marketing approach that aligns to the business priorities.

As part of the Employer Brand portfolio of activities, the successful candidate will advise the UKI CMD and develop leadership messages and activities on their behalf to be distributed across the business of approximately 16,000 people. 

A key part of the role will be to work with the rest of the UKI Executive and also develop a communications workstream for the broader UK Leadership group to drive engagement and consistent messaging.  This will include regular newsletters, leadership update calls, Town Halls and offsites. 

The successful candidate will also be called up on to get involved in other aspects of the Employer Brand portfolio and act as a leader in the group.

Key to this role are strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.  A good understanding of Accenture’s core business is essential. In summary, we are looking for an experienced communications manager with excellent writing, project management and stakeholder management skills who can effectively influence and collaborate across Accenture. 

As a Communications Manager you will: 

  • Report to the UK Employer Brand Lead a key part of this role is to deliver communications on behalf of the UKI MU lead ensuring brand values are properly reflected at all touchpoints e.g. throughout campaigns, digital and print collateral and events
  • Support UKI leadership with tactical and strategic communications
  • Have daily collaboration with the office of the UKI MU lead, including EA and Operations Lead, HR and other M+C team members
  • Drive a communications workstream that supports the whole UK Leadership group working closely with the rest of the Employer Brand teamDrive a consistent employer brand narrative across communications and employee interventions
  • Promote Accenture’s Employer of Choice initiatives and key messages internally and externally
  • Have Management of budget and resource supply and demand where applicable
  • Manage external stakeholder relationships such as suppliers and creative agencies as required
Qualifications - External

We are looking for experience in the following skills:

  • Excellent communications and writing skills
  • Excellent experience of, and work in, marketing and communications
  • Ability to drive content creation and review, understanding how to write for and tone for different channels
  • Resourceful approach to problem solving and ability to propose creative solutions
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to put structure around ambiguously defined thoughts/situations
  • Strong English written and verbal skills
  • Able to build credibility with a large network of key stakeholders, including highest levels of leadership

Qualifications

Education - Bachelor’s degree, university degree or equivalent

Work Experience – All round marketing and team experience; creation and delivery of marketing strategies.  Strong business acumen ideally within a professional services organisation
