This role at BT Group is designed for individuals interested in supporting key areas of the Corporate Affairs team, specifically the External Communications team and the Sustainability and Corporate Affairs Strategy team. The intern will play a critical role in shaping how BT Group operates and is perceived by external stakeholders, thereby influencing the company's reputation and brand perception. This opportunity offers extensive experience in managing corporate issues, media relations, strategy, sustainability, and reputation management. The intern will work closely with multiple teams on significant projects, gaining invaluable insights and skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

What will you be doing?:
The intern will be involved in a range of activities, including working on key corporate topics, developing an understanding of media relations, conducting research on industry issues, and assisting with communication strategies. Additionally, the intern will support initiatives targeting B2B audiences, integrate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) messaging, and engage in strategic planning activities. This hands-on experience will provide a comprehensive understanding of corporate communications, sustainability efforts, and reputation management within a major corporation.

Essential skills/experience:
Candidates should demonstrate a keen interest in media, possess strong writing skills, and have the ability to build relationships and networks. Additionally, proficiency in data analysis, business acumen, collaboration, task management, and insight analysis is crucial. These skills will enable the intern to contribute effectively to various communication projects and support the team in achieving its goals.
