Introduction to Citigate Dewe Rogerson’s (CDR) Youth Possibility Programme (YPP). 

A social mobility initiative, the Youth Possibility Programme is open to young adults aged 19-23 in the UK and offers a two-week paid work placement at Citigate Dewe Rogerson (CDR) during the Easter period.

A leading strategic communications consultancy, Citigate Dewe Rogerson delivers advice based on experience and insight, working in partnership with organisations and individuals to help manage their reputation.  

Including one full day of training (by CDR), the programme will involve 10 days of working side by side by the CDR team and gaining experience across a range of communications disciplines and sectors such as: 

  • Financial Communications  
  • Investor Relations  
  • Corporate Communications  
  • Purpose & Sustainability  
  • Public Affairs  

As part of the programme, participants will also have the opportunity to widen their professional networks through the CDR hosted Relatable Role Models event.

Key information  

Training day: Friday 24 March 2023  

Dates of placement: Monday 27 March 2023 to Thursday 6 April 2023  

Hours of work: Full-time, Monday to Friday  

Place of work: CDR’s Holborn, London office, near Chancery Lane tube station 

Further opportunities: Individuals that participate in YPP 2023 will also be considered for additional employment opportunities, such as a summer internship in July and August 2023.

Salary: Successful candidates will be paid an annual salary of £19,000 (pro rata) for the duration of their two week placement.

Eligibility  

The YPP is open to young adults that have a Black, Asian, or Minority Ethnic background and possess an education to A-level, or equivalent. You don’t have to have gone to university, but if you have chosen to do so we can confirm that applications from current second year/penultimate year university students are eligible. 

YPP targets ambitious young adults aged 19-23 who identify with at least one social mobility criteria:  

(i) first generation in family to go to university,  

(ii) attended a non-selective state school,   

(iii) eligible for free school meals. 

No prior experience is required. All we ask is that you have a go-getting attitude and a willingness to learn.

What happens next?

For those that have applied within the deadline, shortlisted applicants will be invited to take part in an initial interview with the Foundation and if successful, a final stage interview with Citigate Dewe Rogerson.  

If successfully placed on the programme, you will be invited to attend a training day with Citigate Dewe Rogerson on Friday 24th March 2023 

Interviews will take place on a rolling basis, so applicants are encouraged to apply sooner rather than later.
