A Cultural Communications Company is looking for an Intern to join their team for 12 weeks. With the possibility to become permanent.

Summary 

The Communications Intern is accountable for delivering on their client campaigns to achieve the expected results, including excellent administrative and communicative skills - both verbal and written, with the ability to manage upwards, meet and manage deadlines, draft and distribute press materials, liaise with the media and facilitate press requests, and contribute to the organisation of client events, among other essential tasks.

What you’ll be doing…

Client Campaigns

  • Collaborates with their wider team to help deliver excellent, creative campaigns including optimum coverage results for all their clients, in order to add value and maintain an effective working relationship with their clients

Account Administration

  • Manages the day-to-day administration of their client accounts, and delivers on their agreed outcomes to ensure their accounts run efficiently
  • Regularly communicates with their clients, including sharing the clipping, tracking and reporting of press coverage in a timely fashion - the all-important campaign results and coordinates and books in client meetings, and takes/circulates minutes as appropriate, to ensure

Office / Team Responsibilities

  • Attends client and industry events in an official capacity to help build out their networks and develop their knowledge of the sector

Essential skills / experience 

  • You do not need to have direct PR and Communications experience but it would be a bonus if you do
  • With high possibility to become permanent staff at the company
  • Knowledge of the media and digital communications landscape
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible in an agile environment, working on multiple clients and internal projects
  • An educational background in contemporary art history or communications would be desirable
  • Passion for the important role arts and culture play in enriching our lives
  • Proven communication skills, written and spoken
  • Proven attention to detail
  • Collaborative team player with a willingness and enthusiasm to learn
  • with the possibility to become permanent
