In return, you will receive a salary of £29439 - £32020 per annum. Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service is the largest non-metropolitan fire and rescue service in England. About the Communications Officer role: We are looking for a creative communicator to join our Communications and Engagement team. We work with all areas of the Service, which makes this an interesting and varied role. You will help us with the day-to-day management of all our communications, preparing clear, timely messages, across a range of channels, for both internal and external audiences. You will support our wider communication and engagement activities, including encouraging residents to take steps to protect themselves, communication with our 1,800 staff, and providing information and support during incidents. You will have the nose for a story, and be able to create clear, compelling content. You will have a good grasp of modern communication techniques and channels and be able to build good relationships. We are committed to continuous learning and are always looking at how we improve our craft to find new ways of engaging with our audiences.
