Masterclass: What’s not to like? Lessons from a 21 year internship in B2B tech PR

29th June, 2.15pm - 3.30pm

Content summary:

Look, B2B tech PR is not sexy. Your parents will *never* understand it. Your friends won’t even try. But it’s fun, intellectually-challenging and never, ever boring. In this session I’m going to be telling you about B2B tech PR, why (after really only joining because B2B tech pays well) I’m still at the B2B tech agency I interned at 21 years ago (TL;DR: took it over, bought it), why *most* (not all) PR pros can get their head around some pretty deep tech and how, if you want it to be, B2B tech PR is a career for life with huge variety to offer.

Learning objectives:

  • Understand what B2B tech PR is – in theory and in practice
  • See how it’s both similar to, different to (and better than!) other flavours of PR
  • Realize that B2B tech is accessible, despite the jargon
  • Appreciate how B2B tech PR is changing and stretching the definition of PR
