As a Senior Account Manager, you will be the day-to-day account lead for a range of clients across multiple sectors. You will play an important part in the development of communications programmes that address those client’s objectives and business priorities, from storytelling and narrative development to media relations and media training, stakeholder engagement, executive profiling, speaker programs, campaign development and execution, internal comms and issues and crisis management. 

Your role will involve providing strategic counsel and having a good understanding of your clients’ business and pain points; you will contribute fresh perspectives and new ideas; challenge thinking and provide high-value guidance. You will play a key role in driving excellent client service and delivery of results across your portfolio of accounts.

In addition to your client responsibilities, you will provide oversight to junior members of the team and take responsibility for leading teams across defined projects; overseeing consultants and junior talent including across practices. You will motivate colleagues and set a positive example in terms of team spirit, inclusivity and proactivity.

Key responsibilities: 

  • Ensuring a high standard of work and superior client service, always with an eye to driving the satisfaction that supports client retention and growth.
  • Be a trusted advisor. Our clients want thought partnership, which means you need to understand their challenges and opportunities well as they do and offer smart strategic thinking to help them deliver meaningful impact internally.
  • Driving media coverage, crafting creative ideas and high-quality content, leading projects and ensuring the smooth running of accounts.
  • Contributing to the management of client budgets; overseeing the client budget development, tracking, billing and communications.
  • Being actively involved in the team’s new business efforts; looking for opportunities for client growth or cross-practice initiatives.
  • Supporting the senior team working on live issues and crisis management when opportunities arise.
  • Working with other FH offices throughout our network where necessary, ensuring processes and systems work efficiently and supporting the development of integrated campaigns.
  • Contributing to the London office, global and regional network initiatives and knowledge sharing.
  • Inspiring, mentoring and motivating junior team members to ensure a highly engaged, inclusive and productive team.
  • Deliver continuous feedback; take every opportunity to be inclusive, provide guidance, counsel and support to colleagues.
  • Ensure the team are living and breathing our Regs on a daily basis.
