In this newly created position, you will play a key role in communicating to Imperial College’s diverse audiences. Imperial’s international reputation for excellence in teaching and research sees us consistently rated in the top 10 universities worldwide. The Communications and Public Affairs division is vital to building and maintaining the College’s brand, image and reputation, sharing the College’s stories, and creating lasting connections for and with its community. Duties and Responsibilities As Digital Content Assistant your duties will include contributing to a range of digital projects across the Division. You will be part of a team who lead on the dissemination of news content across the College’s central social media channels, will plan and contribute to College-wide social media campaigns, and will be responsible for regular posting across the range of channels, which include Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Weibo, WeChat and more. You will also support the curation of content on the College’s homepage and digital screens; and will ensure that products and outputs reflect the College’s strategy, reputation, high quality design and house style. Essential Requirements To perform this role successfully you will: Have in-depth experience of contributing to social media channels in a professional setting and reporting on social media metrics Be able to use web content management systems to maintain web copy Have proven experience of writing, editing and proofreading in a professional setting Have outstanding interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a tightly knit team Have a strong team spirit, able to deliver under pressure and passionate about digital communications This varied and interesting role you will draw on your previous experience in positions such Online Content Assistant, Digital Media Assistant, Web Content Assistant, Social Media Assistant, Web and Digital Media Assistant, Junior Content / Copy Assistant, or similar.
