We have an important challenge in the Internal Communications team, to help connect our c60,000-person workforce with our united purposehelping Britain prosper, with our values and our strategy, including key communications from our CEO and senior leadership team.

The candidate will sit within the Editorial team, and support the team with their responsibilities, including managing SharePoint online and publishing, as well as writing, producing, and presenting News in 3 minutes, and gathering and presenting our regular MI.

There will also be opportunities to work on articles and idea generation for future communications. And they will also work with the wider IC team in terms of supporting the Business Partnering teams and the events team, helping to shape the communications across our Business Units whether that be written, video or in person.

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills and good interpersonal skills

  • You need to be happy to work independently and as part of a team, people skills are vital in internal comms so a willingness to interact with others is key.
  • Working together will be a key part of the internship with internal comms, and there will bample opportunity to learn, so someone who has a desire to take the most they can from the opportunity is a key part of what we’re looking for.
  • Fresh, and creative ideas are welcomein line with our values, we want to be bold, so a candidate with a desire to learn and with the confidence to challenge why we do what we do would be ideal.
