The intern will support the Insurance, Pensions & Investments (IP&I) business partner team on a number of internal communications and thought leadership/media activations, including:

• Working on Scottish Widows research and media relations related to the annual Retirement Report. One of this year’s themes is a focus on the retirement challenges for Black and ethnic minority women, so there will be scope for the internal to lead on elements of this work, leading on media and engagement programmes.
• Supporting on proactive and reactive media comms for IP&I related to ESG and responsible investment
• Help to manage and create regular content for IP&I Yammer channel and support leaders to post messages
• Delivery of weekly IP&I media summary slide deck
• Responsible for putting forward ‘news-jacking’ opportunities to support key IP&I media objectives
