The Role

We are looking for enthusiastic candidates to join the Advocacy (public affairs) team as an Intern for 12-weeks. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates with a real interest in public affairs, policy & UK politics. It will provide you with first-hand experience in an award-winning consultancy.

The Advocacy team is made up of a fast-growing team of political specialists who advise some of the world’s biggest brands on UK political and regulatory issues. Our consultants are policy experts who enjoy becoming genuine extensions of their clients’ in-house teams.

Our clients include Sky, Facebook / Meta, Paramount / Viacom, Cisco, Uber, Pizza Hut, London Stock Exchange Group, Airbus, Premier League, and the British Beer & Pub Association.

As an Intern you will provide support to consultants across our Advocacy (public affairs) team in monitoring political and parliamentary activity as well as providing support for events and undertaking admin or research tasks for new business activity.

The role offers on the job training and the opportunity to support the team in client work across a wide range of business sectors including technology, energy, food & drink and financial services.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

  • A demonstrable interest in UK politics and policy
  • Strong personal time management and organisational skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Accuracy and close attention to detail
  • Good research capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • An ability to operate effectively and collaboratively as part of a team

The internship is full time, Mon-Fri, for 12-weeks and paid at a competitive rate.

The internship will be part of our hybrid working policy, with some time spent at our Bankside offices (Riverside House, 2A Southwark Bridge Road, SE1 9HA) and some time spent working from home.
