Senior Consultant | PR, Social Media and Communications Leader

We’re on the hunt for a seasoned PR practitioner to join the spottydog pack in a more senior role. Open to the level we recruit at from a middleweight PR, Social Media and Communications Consultant through to an Account Director, the most important thing to us is finding the right pedigree person to help us in our mission to deliver best of breed communications.

We’re a fast-growing organisation in the heart of Birmingham city centre with a diverse range of B2B and B2C clients – working with household names like Mitchells & Butlers plc working on some of the UK’s best-loved brands like Toby Carvery and Miller and Carter, to the Bristan Group which includes Heritage Bathrooms through to BNP Paribas Personal Finance, Indra & Catapult Network.

The right candidate for us will have an entrepreneurial and adventurous spirit to help us meet ambitious growth plans, and we’d say the other key things are;

  • A proven agency track record is a must. You should be an outstanding copywriter with excellent verbal skills, with experience in managing a range of communications campaigns using your skills in everything from stakeholder and media relations, to social media and content strategy to drive great results for your clients.
  • A creative approach is essential to develop inspiring and engaging campaigns in response to client briefs and collaborate with our in-house content department who deliver graphic design, video, animation and photography.
  • Organisation, people and project management skills are key to manage team, client commitments and project work, so the ability to shuffle, reprioritise and juggle will stand you in good stead.
  • You’ll also live and breathe what’s going on in the world – political, social, current affairs and consumer trends, as well as an analytical skill set so you can interrogate a story and find an angle that will resonate with the audience.

Salary range: £27,000 - £45,000
