The paid internship lasts 8 weeks and is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Capital Markets team. This role would be an integral part of supporting client programmes on a day-to-day basis. They welcome creative ideas and input, as well as a proactive attitude which we foster amongst all team members. Attention to detail is essential in the role, as well as an open-minded perspective. This role presents a fantastic opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and to gain a deeper understanding of what a financial PR role entails. Additionally, through this role you will gain experience of selling ideas into the media, learn about the financial industry and public relations and understand how each area of PR activity works on a strategic level. What you will do: Assist in the delivery of agreed client programmes, supporting on tasks like writing, research, collating media lists Play a supportive role in helping account teams deliver tasks to clients in a timely and efficient manner – you will be an extension of account teams, helping out with a wide range of tasks Providing concise and insightful research which will support account work and new business opportunities Carrying out the FTSE 250 Stock Pick Challenge- a challenge requiring you to pick a company which you think will generate an attractive return at the end of the project on a nominal £1000 investment. With guidance along the way, you will present your findings and recommendation at the end of your internship. The skills they are looking for: You’ll need to be based in London and must be available for 8 weeks from June 30th A passion and enthusiasm for PR and an interest in companies and The City Key organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time Attention to detail is essential in the role, as well as an open-minded perspective To be a fast learner, have enough drive to work independently, and enough flexibility to become part of a well-established team Basic understanding of Microsoft Office NOTE: You must be a registered Summer Stars candidate to apply for this role.
