Summer Stars - Communications Intern (Pinchpoint Communications) Summer Stars - Communications Intern Job Reference: SS2022PPSP1 Start date: July 2022 Salary: London living wage as a minimum Type of intern: Final year undergraduates and Graduates Duration of internship: 8 weeks Number of opportunities available: 1 Internship format: Remote Office location: Remote (with occasional travel to either Bristol or London to meet with the team) A small agency specialising in three key areas of work: Audits of organisation’s communications and engagement activities, this can be internal or external or a mixture of both. Supporting organisations going through major change, positive or negative; often as the result of regulatory involvement. Media training, training people to give evidence for inquests or inquiries. What you will do: Supporting client work – including research to support current projects, developing creative ideas, developing social media plans, and supporting campaign implementation. For example, you will be working to further develop internal communications and staff engagement interventions for a healthcare client The opportunity to work with each member of PPC’s team to learn about their specific role e.g. graphic design, market research, campaign planning, issues and crisis management, project management, writing and editing – and you will be given a small project by each team member. Developing a social media content calendar for PPC, including key dates and events we should be commenting on and responding to, via social media, blogs and even in real life events (supported by our account director). Research, review and update our potential client list for media training. New business research There may be more, as we do not always know what clients we will be working with as much of our work is issues/crisis related. The skills they are looking for: Good writing skills Knowledge of how social media can be used as a tool for engagement An interest in issues and crisis management An understanding of confidentiality and sensitivity when working on difficult issues.
