We have seven core business units: Corporate & financial, Health, Lifestyle including culture, retail and travel, MENA, PACE – performance, activation, creative, engagement, Property and Social purpose What you will do: Research Carrying out desk research using the internet and on-line systems to support existing client and new business activities Writing Learning how to draft basic correspondence including e-mails and letters to clients and journalists Learning how to draft basic press material including photcall notices, captions, press releases and background information Contributing to the drafting and preparation of basic reports including meeting reports, client activity and media coverage reports Media relations Learning about the key media on specified client accounts and starting to develop contacts, by phone and e-mail communication Producing and updating media lists Assisting with media sell-ins and ring rounds Maintaining and updating feature schedules Providing support for events Monitoring Media monitoring of national/regional/local and trade/specialist press, TV and radio and web sites/blogs as required, to look for client and other relevant coverage Monitoring related to new business activity and spotting opportunities Client counsel Development of client relationships via phone, e-mail and attendance at meetings, as required The skills they are looking for: Excellent verbal and written communications skills and ability to express ideas clearly Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team Commercial awareness Initiative and ability to identify issues and develop solutions Creativity and ability to generate ideas Good organisational skills Attention to detail Motivation, ambition and interest in current affairs, media and business issues Desire to learn about all areas of the business and work across practices Ability to handle a busy workload, prioritise and be flexible Good level of proficiency with required IT packages: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access Digital skills an advantage How to apply Please apply with a CV and cover letter (no longer than 250 words) explaining your interest in the position, any relevant experience or transferable skills you may have that makes you suitable for the role.
