Account Director
Whatever your current level, the key is that you are a trusted client lead. Your clients ask for your advice and you feel confident giving it.  You know how to shape a strategy, come up with creative ideas and of course measure success in business terms.

You are an ace planner: you know how to advise on media strategies and when to draw on other tools from the wider marketing mix (events, content, social etc). But we all know the best laid plans can occasionally go wrong so you will also be a top drawer trouble-shooter. With experience in managing more junior team members, you know they can come to you to help them deliver their best.

Capable of inspiring, leading and coordinating your team, you really have a collaborative heart, partnering well with your fellow Account Leads and the Senior Management Team. As for the soul, that is full of entrepreneurial spirit - you will be ready to look for ways to grow your account leadership role over time into an agency leadership role - with a tailored career progression plan from us to support it.

We hope you will also pass your skills and best practice on to your peers and any juniors who join beneath you. At With we believe whole-heartedly in a coaching culture so training your juniors well and providing them with useful feedback is something we really look out for.

Media

  • Great media contacts and ability to come up with canny angles that tier 1 business and tech publications love!
  • A hunger to deliver earned coverage but experience in other digital marketing techniques too
  • A plugged in, switched on attitude to absorbing industry information relevant to your clients’ business

Clients

  • A campaign-led approach which demonstrates anything but a tick-box approach to B2B and corporate comms
  • A real ability to get under the skin of your clients’ objectives: commercial not just marketing
  • Creative and ideas-driven, able to add sparkle to campaigns to maintain our award-winning campaign credentials
  • Grounded and commercial with previous experience of running a client portfolio and ideally understanding budgets and fee billing
  • Being a go-to counsel to clients
  • Ability to thoughtfully and strategically evaluate campaigns and add valuable insights on the media space your clients move in
  • Able to write compelling strategies, including (ideally) some new business experience

Company

  • A team player, responsible for supporting and managing delivery across AE and / or AM level colleagues
  • An openness to wider company roles from marketing to social or events
  • An ability to train, mentor and coach your team
  • A ‘horizon’ thinker – able to identify and work with macro trends
