The Summer Stars Programme

Summer Stars is back for 2019 after a successful pilot in 2018. Last year, it proved to be a real success with 34 BAME students and graduates taking the opportunity to gain invaluable experience in the PR and communications sector.

The Taylor Bennett Foundation Summer Stars programme will offer paid four-week work placements for up to 50 BAME students and graduates this summer. The programme kicks off with a week of lectures that are also open to existing PR professionals.

The Summer Stars work placement programme starts with a week of lectures, from Monday 24th – Friday 28th June 2019 at London College of Communication.

The talks will provide a beginner’s guide to PR, insight into the different strands of the sector, and an overview of the latest trends in media, PR and corporate communications and will be presented by several leading PR practitioners.

The lecture week is followed by a four-week paid placement at a PR agency or in-house communications team, and you will be placed by Taylor Bennett Foundation’s experienced selection team at the company best suited to you. Internships are across all sectors (finance, fashion, energy, consumer, technology, arts & culture, government etc) and at a variety of agencies and in-house comms teams.

The Summer Stars work placement programme is open to BAME school leavers aged 18 and over, current students and graduates (within three years of graduating).
