Account Executive

We are looking for an Account Executive who is enthusiastic about the music industry and eager to start or grow a career in PR and communications.

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for an Account Executive who is enthusiastic about the music industry and eager to start or grow a career in PR and communications. This is a chance to join a fast growing agency where you’ll work directly with senior professionals, gain wide-ranging experience across client accounts and have early opportunities to take responsibility.

You will get to work with innovative music and entertainment companies at the forefront of their fields – whether that’s global rightsholders, fast-growth startups or internationally renowned organisations.

  • Support the development and delivery of impactful B2B PR and communications campaigns.
  • Draft clear and engaging copy, including press releases, media pitches, reports, social posts and client updates.
  • Help maintain accurate media lists, coverage trackers and events calendars.
  • Build and nurture media and industry contacts, pitching stories and supporting interview opportunities.
  • Research and identify new media and public-facing opportunities, including features, events and industry milestones and by staying on top of the news agenda.
  • Support the day-to-day running of client accounts, including preparing agendas, reports and briefing documents.
  • Contribute ideas to new business activity and to Fourth Pillar’s own growth initiatives.
  • Contribute positively to the company’s ambitions and initiatives to promote and improve the way that we work as we continue to grow.
  • Support senior management in ensuring company processes are in place and share ideas on how we can evolve these.

About You

  • A strong communicator and natural storyteller, with excellent writing skills.
  • Organised, proactive and able to juggle multiple projects and deadlines.
  • A self-starter and collaborative team player who can build strong relationships at all levels.
  • Confident, pragmatic and keen to learn, with a positive ‘can do’ approach.
  • Interested in the music industry, media and communications, with genuine passion for music of all kinds.
  • Comfortable using social media and the latest digital tools. A good working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint is essential.
  • Some prior experience (internship, placement year, or up to one year) in PR, communications, media or music is a plus, but not essential.
  • Passionate about music – whether it’s Punk or Pop, Blues or Bluegrass, Goth or Garage. Anything goes!
