Internships

The Taylor Bennett Foundation Summer Stars internship offers paid internships with PR agencies and in-house communications teams for school leavers (18+), students and graduates from a Black, Asian and minority ethnic background.

To support all interns, the Summer Stars programme will begin with a three day Public Relations (PR) & Communications bootcamp. Comprised of masterclasses from industry practitioners, the boot camp provides our Summer Stars interns with the opportunity to build their knowledge of the industry before they begin their internships.

The programme has gone from strength to strength with 57 internships taking place in 2022 across various sectors such as:

  • Financial Services
  • Consumer PR
  • Public Affairs
  • Technology
  • Healthcare
  • Corporate Communications

We will be hosting a virtual Summer Stars Programme information session on February 8th (5.00pm-5.30pm). This session will provide further details on the programme, the application process and an opportunity to ask questions!

To register for the session, please complete the short form here.

APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN for our 2023 Summer Stars Internship Programme. To apply, please click here. Applications will close on March 6th 2023 (5.00pm).

All internships offered through the Summer Stars programme are paid, and interns are paid directly by the employer. The Taylor Bennett Foundation advocates for the London Living Wage as a minimum for all Summer Stars interns (and the equivalent for opportunities based outside of London).

Internship opportunities are available for various lengths of time but all internships are for a minimum of 4 weeks and can last up to 12 months long.

'Applying for the Summer Stars program was the best decision I made. There is so much support and the team will work endlessly in order to ensure you have an internship at the end of it.
My internship provided me with so many hard skills and a glimpse into life with PR and Communications that you can only gain from a physical internship. I cannot thank the TBF team enough for the impact that the Summer Stars program made for my career development and I will definitely be recommending to friends/family'.
