Our Summer Stars internship programme, which launched in 2018, offers paid internships with agencies and in-house communications teams for BAME students, graduates and school leavers (18+).

The Summer Stars programme kicks off with a three day PR & Communications bootcamp. The bootcamp is comprised of masterclasses which provide our Summer Stars interns with the opportunity to build their knowledge of the industry before they begin their internships. Internships last a minimum of 4 weeks and interns should be paid for their time both at the bootcamp and for the duration of the placement.

The programme has gone from strength to strength with almost 50 placements in 2019. Due to COVID-19, the Summer Stars programme moved online for 2020 with 16 virtual internships.

I've got a great buddy and line manager and they give me feedback regularly. The office culture and ethics of Porter Novelli Is really great too and in line with my own ideas and morals so it's been such a useful learning experience.
